Saturday, bitchesss

Couple new things:

On Wednesday, I went back to Guitar Center with Marti to re-record, and it was a sucess! I got some perfect vocals from her, and am in the process o putting them into the song right now. I'm doing a couple of different things with her vocals, and it sounds great so far :) I will release the newly re-mastered original version of So Far Gone as soon as i'm done with it, but I'll release the actual So Far Gone (feat. Marti White) on Halloween, October 31st, along with a couple of other tracks, including a brand-new re-recorded, remastered version of Pretty Raving Pirates (feat. Anthony Slusher)!

I will also be making a video, "The Making of So Far Gone," It looks pretty cool so far.

One more thing: Last night, I attempted to record my first DJ mix, and I'm pretty sure it was a sucess. Check it out, and please give me feedback.

JT Leon - The Dogs (feat. Cyntrix)

Finally finished this song I've been working on for almost a month. It's a collaborating with JT Leon, a producer from Liverpool, UK. It's a pretty cool song. I don't know if he will release it right away, or release it along with his album, T.A.B.O.O., but when it is released, I promise I'll post it on here ASAP. :)

You can check out JT Leon's other stuff here!

Guitar Center: Take Two

Called up Guitar Center and spoke to the manager about my problems. Christian and I went up there to see if there was anything wrong with finalizing the CD, and there wasn't. It was something else. I scheduled to record again next Wednesday for free. I saw one of my All Star buddies who works there, George. Tomorrow is his birthday! Haha. We took some video, i'll make one big video and post it after we're done recording. :)

Love,
Cyntrix

Blink182 & My Chemical Romance/Band Practice

Last night, I went to the Blink182/My Chemical Romance/Matt & Kim concert in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was awesome. I got to go for free, because my friends had an extra ticket. It was a seat ticket, but it was still epic. Travis Barker's flying drum solo... Oh my god. I loved it.

We also had practice today. It was one of the best practices we've had in a while. Got a bunch of shit down. A whole new original song, with epic keyboards/piano. Shit's gonna be cash. Burak had a camera from his school, so there's some pictures.

Sep 7, 2011

My day summed up in one word: Cluser-Fuck.

This has been my day:

  • Wake up early
  • shit waffles for brekfast
  • go to school
  • it sucked
  • lots of homework to do
  • come home
  • excited about recording
  • leave in 10 min
  • CANNOT FIND CAMERA CHARGER ANYWHERE
  • 45 min late to guitar center, with Dad's shit camera ready to film
  • old ladies in front of me
  • someone stops in the middle of the road for 2 min to let ducks cross
  • red lights everywhere
  • can't speed, police around every corner
  • finally make it to Guitar Center
  • rush through 29 takes in one hour and thirty min.
  • Pay for 2 hours studio time, only get 1 and a half
  • finally done, satisfyed with it
  • retarded bitch who doesn't know what an XLR or a 1/4" cable is burns CD of takes for me to take home and edit
  • IT'S JUST 29 TRACKS OF SILENCE! THEY DIDN'T TURN THE MICROPHONES ON
  • Call up there
  • bitch at them
  • hurrr can't do anything until manager comes in 3 days from now
Fuck you, Guitar Center. and quit hiring retarded people who have no knowledge of musical equipment whatsoever. There are plenty of people who know what they are doing in this are looking for jobs. Like me.

Horrible day. Except the part where I got to hang out with Marti and Christian. I love you guys :3

P.S. It's my Momma's birthday. Happy Birthday, Mom!

Recording today!!

Going to Guitar Center to record vocals today! They didn't have any extra small rooms, so I' paying extra for a big room full of useless (yet fun) equipment we don't need. Oh joy! haha. After vocals, I'll be re-mastering So Far Gone (feat. Marti White). There will also be a video. My friend (and Think Harder's Merch Guy) Christian will be filming our adventure. It shall be super fun. Be on the lookout for the new song. It'll be on my new CD, coming out in October! Whoo hoo! :D

Cancelled

I just cancelled a show for the first time in my musical career. The dude would not communicate, the whole thing was disorganized, and it would have turned into a cluster-fuck. I'm glad I cancelled. It was supposed to be for some benefit thing. He never told me exactly what we were raising money for. He wouldn't let me make a facebook event, he was going to do it himself. It was 3 days before the show and he still hadn't made one. What a joke.

Sep 6, 2011

I need me some monies.

I need to buy so much shit. But seriously. It was just my mom's birthday and I only had $20.00. I now have $2.00 in cash, and $4.00 in my bank account. That's a grand total of $6.00! Whoa, boy. This is all the crap I need to buy, just for Cyntrix stuff (in order):

  1. Record Vocals with Marti for "So Far Gone (feat. Marti White)" at Guitar Center (already paid for) - $50.00
  2. Domain Name (cyntrix.net) - $20-30?
  3. Decent headphones - $40.00
  4. Vocal Mic - $200.00
  5. DJ Equipment Case/Table - $250.00
  6. Decent Camcorder - $250-500?
That's just the beginning of it. I need a job. Really bad. haha.

Guitar Center

I scheduled some studio time in the ghetto-studios of Guitar Center. Marti and I are going to record good-quality vocals for "So Far Gone (feat. Marti White)." Christian, (Think Harder's Merch Guy) is coming along to film. It shall be a fun day.
I'm so excited.

Sep 5, 2011

I made a website. Bitches love websites.

Yep. This is my website for now. I will be getting a domain very soon. My domain will be "http://www.cyntrix.net." Whoo hoo.

But yeah. Lemme explain how things are (probably) going to be run around here.

Up at the top, under the header, is a bar of different pages. Right now, you are on the "News | Blog" page. Here, I will post the latest news, shows, and other shit concerning myself. Next, is "Music." You will have access to all my music on that page. After that, it's "Bio." Here, you can read all that boring shit about Cyntrix. Yada yada yada. "Photos" just links to my Facebook photo albums. That's where i'll be updating my pictures the most. "Video," There's videos concerning myself there. Last, but not least, there is "Shows | Booking." Here, you will find all the info you need about my upcoming and past shows, and booking info."

On the sidebar, there's mainly just that Like Box for Facebook. So if you haven't already "Liked" my facebook page, you can do so there. You can also sign up for my mailing list/street team, follow this blog using your Blogger account, get codes for promotion materials, you can find access to exclusive content, and more.

Down on the bottom, you can find links to some of my other websites, and a section for comments.

Congratulations. You now know how to work this website. Go share it with friends. :D While browsing, feel free to listen to some of my tunes using the widgets below.
